I'm having a little flirtation with realtor.com these days. This house is about the same distance from town as our current house. It was built in 1880 and has five acres. Like all houses, it is a bit out of our price range. It also claims to have only two bedrooms. 2500 square feet and two bedrooms. I'll sleep in the parlor.

That place is beautiful, but looks much bigger than 2500 sq. ft! It looks like a mansion!

I am looking but not planning on moving until next summer.
This house is gorgeous, but the inside probably needs mega-work done. It is under 200K because it is almost thirty minutes from a small town---a very rural albeit tremendously beautiful mountain road. It is so much the kind of house that I want that I'd be willing to "camp" in it for a few years while we renovated it.
On the other hand, the high school is so tremendously horrid that we'd have to find another option.
I'm trying to keep the process fun, but I have a tendency to get much too serious.
Any ideas out there about cost to replace an oil heating system in this place?
