We camped for the weekend at Claytor Lake State Park. I'm so exhausted that I can barely keep my eyes open, but it was nearly perfect. We hadn't camped since Ella was nine months old. The kids slept like logs, and daddy plugged himself into Coriolanus on his ipod all night. Sleeping to Shakespeare.
Ella is so happy being out in the woods. John, too, as long as his daddy didn't get more than six inches away.

Despite my current condition I am absolutely envying your trip and so wishing I was there. Everything is perfect! I am so glad you had a good time and after such a long break... I can understand not making out to camp for that long though, as much as I am dying to get out there in the woods, I know realistically it would be exhausting with Sam at his age. I am thinking we won't make it out any time soon, either. Sam just runs away, and that sucks. So we'll wait until they're older.
Thanks for the great reminder of what we have to look forward to though, I just love your photos, every single one.
Hope you'll join in on the SPC, it's a lot of fun finally dropping a few of those inhabitions and finding new ways to look at yourself. I love how we are all so wonderfully different.
You look so good and happy.
