cornbread

preheat the oven to 425.
4-6 tbps olive oil, butter, or bacon drippings in the pan,
and put the pan in the oven.

2 cups self rising cornmeal,or 2 cups plain cornmeal
mixed with 1 tsp soda, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1 tsp salt


Add 2 cups buttermilk (or regular milk with a splash of cider vinegar) and
2 eggs beaten

Take out the hot skillet. Leave 4 tbsp oil in the pan and mix 2 in the batter

Quickly mix and pour into the hot pan
Bake 15 minutes until golden.
